Customer Question

Morning Doug, I am working on a 2000 gallant that I suspect has a bad coil driver in the pcm (coil is smoked) going to replace pcm, 1) does it need to be programmed? 2) How do I tell if the key is chipped? what I got is a normal looking key. (I am a ford tech and I know our systems)
Thanks Lynn

Hello and thank you for your question,

Yes if you replacing the PCM on your 2000 model year the computer will need to be programmed regardless of the key. If you key is normal looking then the it is not chipped.
