Customer Question

I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder Convertible.
My daughter was pulling out one day and the car just stopped. She got it started and got it home. It would start but very rough. Replace fuel pump, it's priming and getting gas but now won't turn over. Any suggestions?

Can we either check compression or check the timing belt alignment?

How do we do that?

A compression test requires a compression tester, which you would know if you had one. CHecking belt timing requires pulling the front of the engine apart.
Lets change approach... when you turn the key on, does the Service Engine Soon light do a bulb test?
If yes, does it remain on?
