As the oil gets warmer my pressure gage drops.and my tappets sound like they are getting no oil.ive just repace the 2heads myself.ive replace the oil filter.put thicker oil in it.

Hi
The oil pump needs replacing typical sign of as bad pump ,but first check the pickup tube seal/gasket is good, if this is leaking will suck air and cut the oil pressure down when hot.
When you replaced the heads was the old ones covered in sludge??
If they where which is very common then drop the oil pan and check the oil pick up filter screen , this will also give you this problem .

so when i drop the oil pan the pick up value will b part off it and i should just replace filter.am on the right track.
Expert:  Greg replied 1 year ago.
No
When you have the pan removed you will see if the pick up is blocked with sludge or other oil deposits .
If clean then you will have to then remove the pick up tube and check the gasket
if gasket looks good replace the oil pump .
