Name is***** goal is to provide you with excellent service – if you feel you have gotten anything less, please reply back,
The codes P0174 and P0171 are due to the misfire code P0304
The P0304 code is a misfire on cylinder 4 this has to be checked and repaired
first .
What i need to know now is will you be doing the repairs or sending it in to the repair shop .

We will attempt to do the repair. What are the steps needed to do this. Can you provide instructions and diagrams.
Expert:  Greg replied 1 year ago.
Okay .
First we have to find out why you are missing just on cylinder 4.
Now how many miles on this engine, and do you have the service history,
was the timing belt done at 60.000 and 120.000 miles ..should be done every 60.000miles .

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
The timing belt was just replaced. It has about 100500 miles.
Expert:  Greg replied 1 year ago.
Okay was replace at 100500 miles
You need to check what was changed plug wires spark plugs etc ..
What can cause a misfire on one or some of the cylinder .
Plug wires defect.
Spark plugs .
Fuel injectors .
Engine mechanical condition ,compression low .
If any of these parts where not replaced on the last inspection then go ahead and do these first.
If these where done then we have to suspect the fuel injection system ,Bad injector ,low fuel pressure .
To check the injector you will have to swap it over from the cylinder 4 to cylinder 1 ,clear codes and do a test drive .
But when working on the fuel injector remove the plugs and do a compression test if good swap over the injector clear codes test drive then recheck for codes ,if the code changes to P0301 then replace the fuel injector.
Do this then if needed please get back to me with the reply button, and not the poor or bad service, this way i can get back to you or suggest another expert if needed.
