Hi, forgot to mention and not sure if its connected. Once the engine has cooled I noticed the hose from top of rad to engine hs sucked its self together?? Any ideas on this??
Hi.The coolant hose sucking itself together is a sign of a bad radiator blockage Have this checked. If you have oil in the coolant system you will have to replace all the rubber hoses as oil will damage them all .This is also a sign of the oil cooler malfunctioning .Please remember to only rate my answer when you are 100% satisfied. Greg, is the blockage likely to be air or foreign?? and also, have looked on ebay for new oil cooler and could only find used for around £80. Have you got the sellers details??
Hi .This is not a blockage but a rupture in the boil cooler and what happens is the oil gets into the coolant system but no coolant in the oil .You will have to clean out / flush the coolant system to remove all oil deposits from the coolant system, and in most cases replace all the coolant hose as oil will damage all rubber components in the coolant system. The oil in the radiator is causing the blockage this will have to be opened and professionally cleaned .What we do is we seal the original cooler and fit an air oil cooler in front of the radiator. This will stop this problem happening again ,and this system is much better.Kind regards Greg
