My Pajero 3.5 l short wheel base 4 x 4's alternator has packed up. I noticed it when the battery / alternator light lit. I drove home, whilst driving the ABS light came on, then the handbrake light came on, then the car's computer switched off. I had the alternator replaced, but now, after driving a short while, the lights come on again and the computer displays a message in Japanese, then switches of. If I stop for a while, then start and drive the car all works fine for a while and then the fault re-occurs. What would be the cause? Before the alternator packed up, I noticed the indicator showing when one is using two wheel drive, four wheel drive and diff lock would change fromXXXXXto diff lock, but the car was not in diff lock. This would only happen occasionally. What would be the cause?

I am gonna do a little research on this and be back with you in just a bit. Thanks for your patience.
Hi Highway Robbers,
I have paid you NZ$108 just to have an email statingyou are investigating. Six hours later Iam still waiting. Your servicestinks. I am not impressed with yourservice nor your so called specialists.
What is the use of advertising your specialists tochoose from if any so called specialist can reply with "I shallinvestigate" just to have the call allocated to them? I am a very disgruntled customer whom youhave robbed of NZ$108. Keep it, but Ishall get my own back. I shall blacklist your service at every opportunity I get. Let's see what impact I can have on your pathetic non-existent service.
May your robbery be highlighted to the public and mayyou and your families rot in hell.
I have managed to solve the problem myself. I am no mechanic, but at least I solved theproblem myself.
Kind Regards
Eugene
