Hi, I have a 2001 Triton 2.8 diesel 4x4. A month ago the glow plugs packed up so took it to garage & had them replaced. 2 weeks ago the same symptoms (coughing/rough starting/blue smoke when cold)arose so took it back & queried if they had put the correct glow plugs in & I was told they were 12 volt "äfter market"plugs. The plugs were checked & appear to be working fine but am wondering if Mitsi plugs should have been installed (they have taken my advise & have ordered them), another odity is that twice in the past fortnight the battery has died for no apparent reason but that has been checked & seems OK. Garage have checked compression, fuel pump, injectors etc but can't find anything wrong. Could it be the wrong plugs were installed or can you think of another reason for the problem?

No I have not had a reply. I am disapointed as your add says a response within 9 seconds and that there was a person standing by waiting to answer my question. It is nearly 24 hours since I raised the question and am still waiting. You can cancell the question.
