1993 magna glx front wheel drive 2.6 s/wagon we have just noticed after buying the car to fix wheel bearings ok only to discover the it requires two (2) bearings one for the inner like drive shaft and a type of taper bearing for the outer where the hub with the studs goes in then the crown nut etc...etc..we are thinking maybe these have been changed at some stage i mean of another model car but to what ? if you have any idea what ?then we could get the required bearings inner and outter Question is what other type or model of car would suit a magna exchange if it has been changed. With kind regards XXXXX XXXXXRobert

Hi,Most vehicles have since moved to a press in bearing as opposed to dual taper bearings. Your vehicle unless it is an odd one out should have the newer press in bearing, NOT taper bearings. If you do have taper bearings, there is no way to "update" the vehicle to press in, as it is a completely different system the way it carries load and would require nearly a total suspension overhaul, if it could even be done (dependent on available 'similar' suspensions). If you have a very late model that still has taper bearings, you will need to take the old ones to a bearing shop to have them matched up. While there will certainly be other models that may use the same size, taper bearings aren't really cross referenced that way in the aftermarket, they are categorized by inner diameter, outer narrow diameter and outer wide diameter, and thickness.Again for a 1993, you should have a press in bearing on this model however
