Was the timing belt replaced prior to these codes coming up?

Customer replied 368 days and 12 hours ago.

yes, and the tensioner was bad as we found it and we replaced the tensioner but didn't change the belt timing.

Ok the entire issue is the timing is off. Most common is its a tooth off on the cams .Thats why you are getting this code a very common issue. So resetting the timing belt to TDC on the crank and cams will fix this issue .This is the next step.Hoped this helped.Positive feedback and bonuses greatly appreciated.

Ok you genious. We are good to go on the eclipse. Thank you. I've got another question that pays if you can help. 2003 endeavour. The back hatch won't open and the rear glass won't open. Both switches don't work on the rear gate. I replaced the etacs module with a used one and that did no good. Any ideas? Thanks Jack

Is there power to the actuator.

Customer replied 368 days and 7 hours ago.

I can tell you that the actuator opens two latches and it does it by reversing the polarity to the wires. I'm assuming that must come out of the module. Or rather I know it does. I saw it on the schematic. the actuator worked both ways when we jumped it. it there any power supply issues to the module? what conditions caus e the module to be operated. maybe a power unlock signal is not reaching it? should I pose the question to everyone if you haven't been down this road before? You were so awesome on the first ques, thought I'd ask. Jack

This is a common problem that is typically caused by a faulty glass hatch release handle. The glass hatch release handle is monitored by resistance to determine if the glass is open or shut.If the computer interprets that the glass is open it disables the door. What usually happens is the glass handle fails in such a way that it appears the glass is already ajar then cuts the signal to both the glass and the door.Replacing this will fix both issues . you nailed it again you son of a gun! New handle is on the way. No resistance change when operating handle. With handle removed from system the lower latch now works. Thanks a bunch, jack
