I have a 1994 mighty max. While driving the road at any speed it seems to lose power. I seem to drive alot at the 55-65 mph range and it will just all of the sudden start acting like it has no more power. Seldom times I can mash the gas pedal and it will clear up and run on. Sometimes with a back fire(so I think I am getting plenty of fuel) Most of the time If I press the clutch in cycle the ignition switch it will clear up. Intermittently I will get a check engine light. Most of the time it will clear up right away. The problem exist with check engine light on or off. Doesn't matter. I haven't had the little truck very long. As soon as I bought it I changed the spark plugs, wires, points cap, and fuel filter(the only one I know of under the chassis on drivers side. The reason I did these was b/c of rough idle. It bounces and still does b/t(NNN) NNN-NNNNrpm while idling. The only thing noticeable I see is the exhaust manifold has a crack in it on the top. I can run the little truck about 50 miles with no problems after that it could be every 5 miles I am cycling the ignition switch. The fuel efficiency is still great Checked it the last 2tanks and still around 24mpg. Any ideas?
