Customer Question

Hi Greg
Mitsubishi Pajero GLS DID V78WLYXFOR
About 3 weeks ago I noticed a stiffness moving from N to D. Then after engaging D there is a lag of about 20 secs before the vehicle actually moves. The same problem from N to R. Otherwise the travelling is smooth. Took it to an authorised work shop. They opened the oil pan and reported that there were quite a lot of iron filings found in the pan. They then said the complete assembly has to be replaced! Is there a cheaper solution? Thanks Mike

Hi Mike .

If you have a lot of iron filings then you will need a rebuild or replace the complete unit.

Might be a lot cheaper finding a good used unit that has a warranty .

But having a good rebuild comes with any where from 6 months to one year warranty

Need further assistance Just ask.
Regards Greg
