There is a PCM reflash for Bank 2 Sensor 1 activity/range malfunctions. This was a problem on 1999-2000 models. This is normally associated with P0154, P0155 or similar.

To repair this you will need to take the vehicle to a Mitsubishi dealer or a repair facility that supports Mitsubishi PCM reflashing (not terribly common).
Reflashing the PCM takes about a half hour, and you should expect a repair bill of about $45, $90 at most. (some dealers have a half hour minimum charge, others one hour minimum). Note that it is recommended that a fresh sensor be installed at the time of the reflash as well.

You can reference Bulletin 04-13-002REV if you take the vehicle to a dealership.
