Was your wife collecting retirement pay at the time of her death?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
MY WIFE HAS BEEN RECEIVING MILITARY RETIREMENT PAY SINCE 1988.
Expert:  Peter Griesch replied 10 months ago.

Well, if she elected survivor benefit plan (SBP), then you're entitled to collect her retirement pay.

Additionally, as a widowed spouse, you're still entitled to health care benefits, exchange benefits, etc.

We were married 22 years and we never talked about survivor benefits. How do I find out if I am eligible?
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
I have a military ID and am covered by tricare.
