Have Military Law Questions? Ask a Military Lawyer.
Well, you cannot simply quit. You can request to be discharged on the grounds that you're incompatible with military service. The Army can grant that request, and if so, you'll be discharged.
If the Army does not grant that request, then you'll remain in the Army for the period of your contract, unless you commit misconduct and are discharged on those grounds.
