You were SO helpful! I tried the online form for discharge paper but for some reason couldnt get it to work on the .mil website/he is not computer saavy/I mailed it in and received that, but not the other records. NOW, concerning the courts martial records, and arrest records, when he told me of his BCD, I requested thru FOIA the info. They sent it to me in 2000, he put it in his military folder, but later it was lost in a move. Some JAG lawyer online told me the FOIA packet could be re-issued because they keep a copy and file it/is that true, and is it the same place to request that packet, in Charleston at the base as you said? This is really saving me time!

Thanks for the chance to help. I am an attorney with over 12 years military law experience. You can ALWAYS re-request a FOIA. Just make sure you use a written request and mention the records you want, MAKE SURE HE SIGNS IT (that way, they will not redact his privacy act information. And yes, if the court martial was at Charleston, you want to address the FOIA request to the base commander of that base. They will forward it on for processing
