Hello, my name is XXXXX XXXXX Im in the Air National Guard

Customer Question

Hello, my name is XXXXX XXXXX X’m in the Air National Guard and my supervisor has informed me that my career field is going away as of March 2013. He’s told me that my only option is to cross train into another career field. I was thinking that if the government is eliminating my career, can I legally get out of the military? If so, how? Who would I talk to about this?

The fact your career field is being eliminated is not legal grounds to leave the military. You will need to request training in a new mos.
