I am sorry for your loss. If your father was in receipt of VA disability compensation, or was qualified but waived it because of his Retirement pay, or was in a VA hospital when he passed, then you or your family may qualify for burial allowance benefits. In addition, he will be entitled to a headstone, an burial American flag, and some other possible benefits.
