are you trying to look at the entire value of a cell for a specific value, or to see if the cell containst the value among other values

for example

cell value = a cat is fat

so do you want to see if the cell contains the word cat for example

or do you want to see if the entire cell value is = to a certain value for example the entire sentance a cat is fat

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
I want to see if anywhere in the cell is the value "cat" or the value "fat"
Expert:  The-PC-Guy replied 1 month ago.

ok, yep that can be done.

what values do you sepcifically want to search for?

Expert:  The-PC-Guy replied 1 month ago.

and which cell do you want to search so I give you correct formula

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
34;wisconsin" or "racine" in a cell range (b2 thru b999)
Customer: replied 1 month ago.
I can just copy the formula down the B column...
Expert:  The-PC-Guy replied 1 month ago.

yes you can do that

=IFERROR(IFERROR(IF(FIND("wisconsin",B2)>0,"yes","no"),IF(FIND("racine",B2)>0,"yes","no")),"no")
