Hi There. I am Bing and I look forward to helping you with your issue today.
As I remember they are COUNT and COUNTIF functions. Can you please attache your XLS file so I make changes and post it back?
Please better manually illustrate your result in a worksheet so I can make sure the result is something you are expecting. Is it okay for you?
Got it. Thanks.
Do you actually mean the filed of Customer Number? If yes, I think the best way to do that is to use Pivot Tables.
Done. Please review.
mmm... me too. let me check what's wrong.
Again, in ZIP format.
I don't know why my file changed filename... :(
Okay, I put it somewhere and let you download. OK? Sorry for the inconvenience.
Please advise once downloaded, so I can delete it.
Still does not work....Can you please email me? XXXXXXXXXXXXX
Sorry, only one HTTP there.
BTW, my XLS file was save on Mac. If you notice anything incompatible with your version of Excel, I may switch to a Windows PC and resend it.
Did you open the XLS and saw one more sheet named "Customer Number Counts"?
Please see attached the screenshot which shows every Customer Number's total count is shown there.
OK. Will also try saving it on a PC. Which Excel version do you prefer?
Email sent. Got it?
BTW, just double check did you see the screenshot I posted above, which shows the required total number for each Customer ID in a new worksheet?
Any feedback please? Was it something you expected.
Just in case you do want to know the function for counting the Customer Number field in my demonstrating pivot table, as mentioned in my second comment, it is function COUNT.
I am positive for my answer. However, if you do think it is not something you expected, please upload a worksheet to demonstrate your expected result. Thanks.
I just called JA customer services regarding your requirement of invoice, they will help and contact you shortly.
Please kindly accept the my answer to this question as you have confirmed my answer was a workable solution. Thanks.
