There are a few different ways to do this, but one of the easiest would be the SUM function in the cell you want the total count result to appear.

Use this formula

=SUM(IF(range=number,1,0))

where range is the range that you want to search, and number is ***** number that you want to count.

if i want to find all the number 20 in the cell:
=sum(if(range=20)

Close, but you'll need to put in a range. Example:

=SUM(IF(A1:A10=20,1,0))
