I am trying to run "reconciliation on fire" version 2.22 (it is a free downloaded .xlsm) on excel 2010. I have windows 7, 64 bit. I keep getting a "Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications Error".

I hate to say I am not sure as this is my fourth day with this PC on a new job. How can I tell?

Click Start and you should see a picture (profile picture), click on that picture.

It will take you to user account settings, there you will see it say (Standard / Administrator) just below the profile picture

It has nothing under the picture

Click Start -> type User Accounts and hit Enter

On the right side of the window that opens, you will see the username (scottmorgan).

Here is another screen. The file would not open. We have a colocated system that is outsourced. This amy be the problem. My IT guy just got back with me with this answer on admin rights "



NTS has the local corporate PC’s on the domain so they have control of administrative tasks locally as well. This may change when we move to CGS…we haven’t discussed this as of yet."

I understand now. Since we do not have access to modify the files as it is co-located, probably the server controlling / managing polices for workstations we are not allowed to access the directories from where we can fix the issue.

However, please try this:

Hold the Ctrl key then while holding the ctrl key open that file again.

Customer:

It starts to open and then ask to enable macros. When i click "enable macros" it gives me the same error message.

Do you have Nitro PDF on this system?

Customer:

I did a search for nitro pdf. nothing came up. Not listed under programs either.

He is on the road. That is why it took a while for him to get back with me on the administrator question.

In the forms folder, and delete them.

Customer:

I did a search for these files and got no results.

You do not have the administrator access.

Customer:

Great. Your IT guy should login as administrator, search for those files delete them and the file should run.
