RichI need another macro, we can use the same file as before

Resolved Question:

Rich

I need another macro, we can use the same file as before to do the testing.
This should be simple; the macro needs to be employed after the user has completed the estimate and wants to save the existing file with NO "QTY".

1. It should be able to replace ALL the existing "QTY" quantities to 0 or empty to replace the users Quantity Values.
2. Which should return all the Totals back to '0".
3. In addition, should be leave ALL the BUSINESS Values in place.

This looks pretty good.

Now can I use the same process to copy macros to the other files?

gary

Expert:  Richard replied 12 months ago.
Yes you can Gary, like we copied the Macros before to your other files.

As long as the Numbering system for Business Divisions begins with a 9.

Let me know if you have any difficulties please

Customer: replied 12 months ago.

Do I need to copy ALL the marcos again and them re-name all the Ctrl-Letter?

Expert:  Richard replied 12 months ago.
No, just the Macro

Sub Qtyto0()

You then assign that Macro the Shortcut key CTRL+q

Customer: replied 12 months ago.

I am trying to copy the code to the other file.

It is asking me to import external date? and when I look a the macro code it is not part of the original code?

What do you make of this?

Expert:  Richard replied 12 months ago.
I am not 100% clear on this Gary, when does it ask to import external date?

Is the other file a xlsm file and not an xlsx file (as it must be xlsm)

Customer: replied 12 months ago.

Rich

When I try to copy the macro to the new template should it only address the estimate tab. because when I select all and copy I only get the pass macros?

Expert:  Richard replied 12 months ago.
you just highlight the new Macro.

Then copy it, and in the new template, you go to the Visual Basic editor and double click on the Estimates page and paste it there.

If you want, I can show you

Can I log on and look please on the connected computer?

It is easier.

Go to www.joinme.com

Click START MEETING

It will download a program to your computer

Run the program by double clicking it, and it will give you a set of 9 numbers

Give me the numbers at the top of the screen (eg: 456-789-123) in your message to me here please
