Customer Question

This was happening sporadically, now it is consistently. Instead of saving word documents into an XP .doc, as I ask it to (and it seems to be doing), the files end up being saved in word 97-2000 version.

You can force this to be the default save as feature by following the instructions below:
- Open OpenOffice
- In the top menu bar, click Tools > Options
- Expand the Load/Save sections
- Choose General
- Choose Text Document from the Document Type pull down bar, at the bottom of the General section
- To the right of the Document Type menu, choose Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP as the Always Save As type
- Click Ok

Once you do that, it will work, as you wish.
