Thank you for your question, my name is Richard.

Do you mean you need to do a SumIF based on a month?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

hello

No i do have the sumifs formula created but i need the formula to be more specific by selecting the critireas based on the month

Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.
ok, so basically you want to sum as example all months of January correct?

And you would put January in a file.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

yep

Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.
Thanks.

Then the formula is as below

=sumif(month(Cell with Date)=1)

In this example 1 is January and it will sum all the rows where the Cell with the Date in it has January).

Let me know if you have any difficulties please

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Hi Richard

no it didnt work, what i need actually is to add the date on the below formula:

=SUMIFS(Local!$L$2:$L$2013,Local!$B$2:$B$2013,Sheet1!$A12,Local!$S$2:$S$2013,"Open")

Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.
Which Columns have the date Johnny?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Column F

Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.
Thanks,

Then you want this

=Sumif(f:f,month(f:f)=1,b:b)

I am assuming B is what you want to sum when it is January (as my example sums on January)?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

Al-Rayyan Theater
Al-Rayyan Radio

Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

Has the reference to the company, all Open and Month of January, though no results as nothing matches, if you enter an entry to match that you see it working.
