Thank you for your question, my name is Richard.

Does it complete the install? Or it just freezes here?

When you restart the computer, is it still there?

Which version of windows is it running?

Thank you

Hi RichieMe,

1. Installation is complete anf Office is working but still that message appears at the task bar even after many restarts.

2. OS is Windows 7.

Thanks,

Thanks Hasson

It is likely the startup program did not close and disable

Click Start, type in MSCONFIG and press enter.

Click on the Startup Tab and look for the MS OFFICE Install program and click Disable

Click ok, restart and let me know if it is still there please.

Thank you

Hi Richard,

In the Startup Tab there is no MS Office install nor in Services.

Hi Richard,

I followed all your instructions but after restart still 'Office is installing in the background (9%)'.

What else can I do?

Thanks Hasson

Can you please go to Start, Control Panel.

Click Programs, uninstall a program.

Click Change, Then Repair

It’ll take some time to repair and once it has finished, you’ll see a message saying the configuration of Office 2013 is complete. You’ll then have to restart the computer in order for the repair to complete.

Once restarted, tell me please if you still have the problem.

Thank you

'Quick repair' didn't help. 'Online repair' took a very long time, it reinstalled Office and asked me to reactivate it, and still 'Office us installing in the background 9%'.

What now?

Click Start, type in

Can you disable it there Hasson?
