I am running PPT 2010. All of a sudden, any time I open up

I am running PPT 2010. All of a sudden, any time I open up an existing PPT file, or try to create a new one, the "Key Tips" are automatically displaying over the ribbon and I cannot figure out how to turn this off! It is driving me crazy. Please help....thanks.

Click File >Options on the Left

A box will open

Click Advanced >

Scroll Down to Under Display

Untick

"show Shortcut keys in screentips"

Click Ok

Close Powerpoint , Open and test and let me know standing by

That box is checked off, but it is grayed-out and I cannot untick it.

Are you Administrator on the Machine? , Sounds as if there could be Policys in force on the Machine

No...but I can assure you we do not have a policy where this would need to be turned on. In fact, this problem just arose....it never existed before.

I mean group policy that stops you from removing the check box.

You will need an Administrator account , to resolve this , as that check box need to be removed

Or you can reinstall Office if you have the Disk >>

You will lose no Data?

This did not resolve the problem. It was a problem relating to an add-in that got installed with some new software.
