OK, am using a computer in another room so when you tell mr I will go away and try so there will be a gap

Please restart the computer (the one you are experiencing issues with), as soon as it restarts, repeatedly press the F8 key.

Repeatedly press the key till you get Advanced Boot options.

Select Safe mode from the list and get into Safe mode.

Sorry but rushed away to solve problem without reading everything. I came across system restore and did that now OK. So you have earned your bucks. The problem occurred when I brushed ba book against the keysb so it had to be COMBINATION OF KEYS. Any idea what it might have been
