I was using my MS Office just yesterday and today nothing will

Customer Question

I was using my MS Office just yesterday and today nothing will open; it states "Office is Busy". I did change my browser to IE8 32-bit which is required for my client and I most use Jave 6 Update 21 which are both installed on my computer correctly now. Could that be the problem? If so how do I get around this and use this Office software that I paid too much for? Obviously I am not very computer literate but I know enough to follow instructions so please help me get my Microsoft Office working. I can't even open Excel attachments which are a must for my job.

ChrisC :

Hi, my name is Chris and I'll be happy to help you today!

ChrisC :

I think what we should try first is a repair of Office

ChrisC :

You are using Windows 7 right?

ChrisC :

If so here is how you do it

ChrisC :

Go to your start menu and select control panel

ChrisC :

Once in control panel choose "Uninstall a Program"

ChrisC :

Find your version of Office in the list and select the button at the top that says "Change"

ChrisC :

An Office install window will come up and repair should be one of the options. Select that and hit next. Go through the process here (may take a bit). Once it is done, reboot and try using Office again.

ChrisC :

Let me know how this works for you! We can ofcourse continue if need be
