Customer: replied 3 years ago.

windows 7

Dank je wel Gijs.

Ken je photoshop sluiten.

Dan, om de icon je clicked om photoshop te open, right click (met the recht button op het muis)

Click Run As Administrator.

Photoshop zal beginnen, dan probeer the psd naar jpg te maken en laat mij de resultaten weten aub.

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

i did what you asked me but the problem is still there, only with different photo's

Are you able to try using a different Directory? Make a directory on your Desktop and try to convert them to this Gijs?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

i tried that, could not change a single photo from psd to jpg without getting the message involved, Ritchie.

ok, then it can be a corruption within Windows and I want to rule this out please Gijs.

do the following please

Download CC Cleaner (free) from here

CC Cleaner

(Click Download Latest Version on the top right)

Run it and let it scan and repair your registry.

Once done, restart the computer

Click Start, All Programs, Accessories, right click on Command Prompt and select Run As Administrator.

A black window will open.

Type in it

sfc /scannow

press enter and when it has completed, type in

chkdsk /f

Press enter.

It will complain the Volume is in use and to run on restart. Say YES and restart the computer

Than try Photoshop and let me know the results please

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

the scan will erase files, it says. what files? I'm a professional photographer and everything is on this computer

System Files Gijs, it is dealing with windows files that need to be recreated.

It has nothing to do with your personal files.

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

ok, thank you, Richie

Your welcome, and feel free to ask if you are unsure of anything

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

had to find you again, Richie, took a while..what's the dutch for accessoiries? Onderhoud, maybe?

It should be Accessories or benodgigdheden

you see this?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

i get " configuratiescherm--delen windows uitschakelen" when i type it in startmenu

ok, that is the wrong place.

Click Start, type in CMD and wait for command prompt to appear in the list.

Then right click it there and select Run as administrator please Gijs.

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

it's running, may take a while

No problem!

Eaten tijd, dus kun je ff pauze :)

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

it's not gonna take as long as preparing my meal :), Richie

geen problem!

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

i'll sit it out if possible...i still have to do my shopping..maybe order pizza

It is ok, just let me know when it completes and you are ready to test :)
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

i'm ready to test, Richie

ok, it ran both scans ok?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Thanks, XXXXX XXXXX and let me know the results

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

the problem still appears in the "old" map called, let say: "opdrachtgever 1", in which most of my photo's are in submaps within submaps. However it seems not to occur in the new map "opdrachtgever 2", that i created before our first session...

ok, the old map may have corruption in it.

Can you test extensivly the new map?

And make another map and test also?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

i will do so right now

Thank you Gijs,

Laat mij aub weten.

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

unfortunately the problem appears also in the 2e map and the new 3e map i just made, Richie

are these on the desktop Gijs?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

yes, why?

Just want to check.

As a test, click Start, Control Panel, Users

Make a new user account.

restart the computer and log in on this new user account and try.

Does it give you the same problem? as I want to see if this is a permissions problem.

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

i can do that, but it will still be the same maps, is that okay?

I would prefer new maps... can you please? just to test.

If it works, use the same maps

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

do i have to make the new maps in the new map of the new account, that will appear in the tree within Bridge of PS?

Depends on how you have set it up Gijs.

but make the new account and check, it is just a test for now

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

bedankt Gijs,
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

i made account, but cannot change any photo, nor can i copy photo's to the empty map pictures in my new account. by the way i'm in the new account on my desktop right now that has no chrome so i'm mailing you from my laptop

Your not able to test on at least one photo Gijs?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

no not even with "save as"

ok, log back into the initial account, and try photoshop and tell me if it still gives the error please.

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

in 3 try outs it only gave 1 error

It never gave the error before correct?

When did this start?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

i meant it resulted in 1 photo not being changed because i dont have the was in my initial (opening)question. the problem is sometimes i'm not allowed acces to a (sub)map...i have this problem since i bought CS 6 over more than half a year ago..

ok, make a folder directly under C drive called TEST

Try to convert to this folder. Same problem?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

no problem with this one test

Can you run more?

It is a permissions issue, and This will be a better location to work from.

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

yes, how much more....and the same photo's or different photo's from different submaps?

Make submaps in this map

And check until you get the error or know it is resolve Gijs.

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

i did and there seems to be no problem

ok, then you need to use this Map Gijs

You can rename it to what you wish, but it needs to be under C Drive.

You do not then have permissions issues.

If you have problems, or would like any additional information or assistance, please do not hesitate to let me know.

And if you can take a second to rate my service, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

ok, thank you. can i put the old maps with assingments in this map or is it saver to leave things as they are and begin with a new leaf? And what about all the test sub maps there a shortcut to removing them all at once :) ?

Leave things as they are Gijs and work new from here.

Sorry, no short cut to remove them at once :). But leave them if you wish, they cause no problems.

Feel free to ask if you would like more information please.

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

if you mean you have more background information and want to share that with me i would appreciate that, Richie if not that's okay too

Background information on the problem you had Gijs?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

yes that's what i meant

It is a permissions issue.

A program you have installed once, or changes you have made to windows have altered these permissions.

Therefore we moved this to a map you have permissions on correctly.

This could also be corruption, but we resolved that initially.

Feel free to ask if you would like more information Gijs!

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

ok thank you for all your time and effort, Richie. I 'll rate you positively.

regards, Gijs

Anytime Gijs!
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Hi Richie...I still have a problem renaming maps because i'm not the adminstator. i can change that in "Eigenschappen" but it wants an "objectname" and i'm not sure what to put in...and the last thing i want to do is mess up the system...

The object name you need to give Gijs is the group Everyone.

And give it Full Rights.

Can you?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Richie...thank you very much, it worked and I changed the name of the map.

You made my day. I hope the same will work for all things i want to change in the future...after all: it's my computer.

If it does not, let me know :)

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

thank you again, and i will. Have a nice day (?) Gijs

evening, jij ook :)
