Hi, I will assist with this issue.
Yes, Microsoft Office/Word 2010 is compatible with windows 8. Did you install microsoft office/word 2010 software on windows 8 yet?
I have to reinstall the prog??! I have moved & am not sure where the product key even mis...
Yes, that's correct.
You have to reinstall all your programs.
I am beginning to regret loading windows 8- & paying 50 bucks to hear this discouraging news...
I"m sorry about that; when you upgrade windows (xp vista 7 8, etc.) or change computers, you have to reinstall all programs.
We can try to find your product key
Did you purchase office online or from a store?
I cant access my previous rogs? I have run that program & it has vanished
I purchased in WA DC & am in Montana- as I said I moved- after a loss in the family
Sorry, all programs have to be reinstalled. Do you still have the office disk?
perhaps- in a godforsaken storage unit- it will be hell to find
what abt upgrade to 2013 word?
Sorry about that.
You can try 2013 version at
is there any break for us loyal Microsoft customers/userd
price-wise on 2012
There is the upgrade option, but you'll have to have your office 2010, you can try calling microsoft
I am pretty angry ay Microsoft for not putting this up in CAPITAL LETTERS: "YOU WILL HV 2 RELOAD ALL PROGS"
I know that's not ur dept
but am frustrated - greatly
Sorry about that, actually, when you upgrade to windows 8, it does tell you that it can only keep your files, not programs.
I have spent a week trying to solve this problem
Also, please notes Apps are different than programs.
O man-just another "suck it up moment..." pretty hard to swallow...might get a Mac
Apps, Windows settings, and personal files
Windows settings and personal files
Sorry about that. If you upgrade Mac, you'll have to reinstall applications/programs also.
For your programs/product keys you should keep records; let's say your computer brekas down, then you cannot reinstall
doesn't say "cant keep $300.00 Microsoft products-
Sorry, it does not say what you can't keep, but it does say what you CAN keep
how shortsighted...as I said - a suck it up moment..maybe its time for a Mac
OK, well, it's different, so it will take time to learn, just like learning from windows 7 to windows 8
I am sorry to be taking this out on you- I know ur just another soldier-
how about this: refer myt complaint to the "higher ups-" I know I am not the only one going thru this...
like that wd do any good- guys rolling in a Bentley & cd care less abt us workers with abt 800 pps in limbo

You're welcome. Yes, of course, many consumers do not know that programs have to be reinstalled on a new windows version.
