hey I think Query 10 is wrong because instruction state that
Create a two parameter query for the Office Name field of the Office table and Won field of of the Case table.
List the Office Name, Department Name, CaseID, Date, Fee, and Won fields.
Sort by DepartmentName in ascending order.
Query result fields should be labeled ‘Office', 'Department', 'Case Number', 'Date', 'Fee', and 'Status'.
Enter Houston and Pending in the two resultant dialogs.
and we put all of them not just houston and pending right?
the instruction means, don't put "Houston", or "Pending"
well, based on normal Access coding
the two query parameter will need something in there
I think that what he meant was just but the houston and pending because he put them in the criteria box... and then gave him that results
if Houston and Pending are in criteria, it won't give a 2 query parameter though
look let me send you the video where he is stated because he is not helping me at all :( Im sorry promise a great bonous...
ok - no problem
and in query 4 the currency its not in dollars do you thing you can change that?
and in query 5 it states
Query 5 –
Which Case(s) charge at least $20,000 and have been Won?
List, in this order, the concatenated ClientFirstName and ClientLastName fields, separated by a space; and the fields Date, Fee, and Won.
Sort in descending order of Fee.
Query result fields should be labeled ‘Client’, ‘Date’, ‘Fee’, and ‘Status’.
and we put cases with lower fees than 20000 and there status pending
query 4 is amended now
5 is good now
query 7 it states that
What are the names of Clients who live in "Houston" or see lawyers from the Houston office, or see lawyers in the "Environmental Law" legal department?
List, in the following order, the concatenated ClientFirstName and ClientLastName fields separated by a space; City; concatenated LawyerFirstName and LawyerLastName fields separated by a space; LegalDepartmentName; and OfficeName.
Sort alphabetically by City.
Query result fields should be labeled ‘Client’, ‘City’, ‘Lawyer’, ‘Department’, ‘Office’.
Note: Watch out for multiplier effect but we just put Houston not environmental law then we need to put them alphabetical by city without any multiplier effect
query 8 stated
Query 8 –
How many lawyers are there in each legal department and what is the total of their salaries?
Select fields LegalDepartmentName, LawyerID and Salary.
Sort in descending order by Salary.
Query result fields should be labeled ‘Department ’, “# XXXXX” and ‘Total Salary’.
Each department should be listed only once in the query results. Use appropriate aggregate functions for LawyerID and Salary. and we repeated the department and it should be listed only once
