Hello and thank you for using Just Answer. My name is XXXXX XXXXX I will be happy to assist you.

Can you tell me which version of word you are using, is it 2003, 2007, 2010?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

2010. I believe. Not even sure how to tell! I've had Mac for 2 years and Word was installed then.

Ok since we are not positive on the version you are using I am going to have you try a couple of ways.

Click the ¶ button on the Standard toolbar

Click the ¶ button in the Paragraph section of the Home tab

Also try to Click the Tools->Options menu item.
Click the View tab.
Under Formatting Marks, select ONLY Paragraph Marks and deselect all others.
Click OK.

Click the round Office button in the upper-left corner of the window.
Click the Word Options button.
On the left side of the dialog box, click Display.
Under Always Show These Formatting Marks On The Screen, put a check mark next to Paragraph Marks.
Make sure all the other entries in this section are unchecked.
Click OK.

From the Word menu, select Preferences
Select View.
In the section titled "Nonprinting characters", check or uncheck the appropriate boxes to view the marks of your choice. Check All to see all formatting marks.
To save your changes, click OK.

Please try the above and if none of them work for you click reply to expert for further instructions. Smile

Thank You
