Microsoft word does not load a blank document and a error message "the visual basics environment could not be initialized", shows up. Following advice from several different forums, I freed up some memory and I have tried to rename the normal.dot template. Neither worked. Any suggestions?
Already Tried: From word, I right clicked on normal in styles, clicked modify and chose open in all new documents. I also freed up extra memory.

the only resolution here is to reinstall MS Office.
If you have the MS Office Installation disk , try re-installing that will fix your problem. Note: your already created word file will not be deleted in this process.
