cannot send an email to a Group of addresses from Office 2000 Microsoft Outlook.Error message: this message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server.This problem applies to all the groups in my address book.

Yes, there are many tests that you can perform.The problem is that one of the emails that you are sending to, is formatted incorrectly.Locate the problem email address and either remote it or repair it.
