Is it possible to run Turbo Pascal on Windows 7, 32 -bit or 64-bit? If so, are there any special steps that must be taken to do so?
Already Tried: I have tried to run TP7 on Win7, 64-bit but it will not run. I guess I may have to uninstall 64-bit Win7 and install 32-bit Win7 in its place, but do not know whethetr this will work.
Hi there and welcome
It can be installed on Windows 7, 64bit by following these instructions
Go to Start Menu and click on “Configuration” and then “Edit Configuration“.
Then scroll down to the very end, and add the lines which you want to automatically execute when DOSBox starts
mount d c:\tp\
d:
cd bin
tpx
Please not, to make full screen, press Alt and Enter
When you exit from the DOSBox (precisely when you unmount the virtual drive where Turbo Pascal has been mounted) all the files you have saved or made changes in Turbo Pascal will be copied into the source directory (the directory which contains TP folder)
Don’t use shortcut keys to perform operations in TP because they might be a shortcut keys for DOSBox also. Eg: Ctrl+F9will exit DOSBox instead of running the code.If you have any difficulties, please let me knowAnd please remember to rate my service and take care

My question may have misled you. If so, apologise. What I want to do is to install and run the TP7 compiler on a computer running on Windows 7. Can the compiler then be used to produce software to run on Windows 7 ?
If you download the 64bit compiler from here it shouldhttp://www.freepascal.org/download.var
