My Microsoft Office 2010 program quit working. 2010 Word and Excel will not open or work.

The recovery program in my computer.

run the diagnostics and when it completes, try to open word and excel please

There is no office diagnostics when you click on microsoft office.

When I go to Microsoft Office Starter and click on Tools nothing happens. If I go to just Microsoft Office it asks me to buy the program.The Microsoft Office Starter Program was already installed in my computer when I purchased it.

Yes, The Office Starter had Microsoft 2010 and Microsoft Excel. I've used both since I purchased my computer.. However, there was a Microsoft update asking to update a few days ago, and since then it seems nothing as worked right.
