I cant seam to make this work? Time a1 7:15 Cell

a1 7:15 Cell with start time (a1)
a2 17:00 Cell with end time (a2)
a3 9:45 Hours worked (a2-a1)
a4 8.00 if a3 is greater then 8 enter 8 otherwise, enter a3 (to get regular pay)
a5 9:45 if a3 is greater then 8 enter a3-a4 (to get overtime pay)
a6 0:00

When I typed my example I though it would send it to you in the columns that I formatted, it did not. so on my sheet it would be column "C" start time, end time subtracted equals hours worked, in California anything over 8 hours is overtime, so I was trying to get it to do that calc in c11 ..... =IF(C10>8,8,C10) and then calc the overtime in c12
