Hello and thank you for using Just Answer.

My name is XXXXX XXXXX I will be happy to assist you.

In outlook
On the Tools menu, point to Instant Search, and then click Indexing Status.

Alternatively, click the arrow in the Instant Search pane, and then click Indexing Status on the menu.

Verify that the dialog box reports 0 items remaining. If not, indexing is not complete and needs to finish before all of your Outlook items can be searched.

If it has finished indexing but is still not working please to the following:
Click start and choose control panel, on the top right use the drop down to change the view to small icons. Next click on Indexing options. Here it will tell you what is being indexed for search and also if windows is finished indexing. If windows has finished then click advanced and choose rebuild. This could take some time. After the rebuild restart the computer and try searching outlook again.

If you need further help or the above does not resolve the issue please reply back and let me know.

Thank You
