Do Word 2003 documents have built in support to Save As Word

Resolved Question:

Do Word 2003 documents have built in support to Save As Word 2007?

Hi,

welcome to Justanswer.

I am sorry to say this but the answer is no. Word 2007 can save files in word 2003 format but the reverse is not true.

Word 2003 can't save files as *.docx format which 2007 format.

Hope this clarifies your doubts.

Regards.

I heard Microsoft might have forward compatibility plug-in that was part of a windows update.

Yes.

The compatibilty pack is to enable word 2003 files to open word 2007 files.. It is not a built in feature but you ahve to download the addon from microsoft website.
