Hi,

Office is not free. You can try this: go to Start, control panel, programs, programs and features and uninstall microsoft office program(s). Then go to http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/try/, and download and install the Office 2010. You can download and install Office 2010 trial version and use for free for 60-day (if it lets you use the trial again), then you can decide to buy.

If you do not want to purchase Microsoft Office, you can download and install the free Open Office program at
http://openoffice.org/
Open Office works well and it's similar and compatible with Microsoft Office. You can use Open Office to create documents and to edit your current office documents.

Please let me know if there is still any issue. Thank you.
