Hi, and thanks for using JustAnswer.com.

The product key on the label of the computer is for windows, not office.

Did you purchase office 2003, 2007, 2010 , etc?

Did you purchase the office type home & student, professional, ultimate, etc?

Are you sure you've purchased office previously?
Did you receive the office product key previously? Where did you purchase Microsoft office?

Thank you.

Thank you for verifying that the product key on the side is for windows. the office package was already installed and it is a home & student edition 2007.
You're welcome. When you purchase a new computer, office is always installed, but it is a trial version only.

Are you sure you've purchased office previously?
Did you receive the office product key when you bought? Where did you purchase Microsoft office software?

Did you purchase office 2003, 2007, 2010 , etc? And what was the office type such as home & student, professional, ultimate, etc that you've bought?

Thank you.

how long does a trial last. i have had my computer with the office for over 2 years. i was under the impression that my purchase included this programme. i bought it from comet stores in the summer of 2009. i only know that it is home & student
It depends on how the manufacturer sets it. It could be 25 uses, or 60 days:

Do you still have the purchased document? Did you remember if they had given you the office product key? Are you still able to contact the comet store? Thanks.
Customer: replied 5 years ago.
can still contact the comet store but i would have to try and find the documents. can't remember if there was a key stated on it, but i definately used it more than 25 times and longer than 60 days.
Then you have purchased Office previously. OK, please look for your documents and/or contact Comet store. Also, go to

and go through the lost Office product key steps.

Please let me know if there is still any issue later. Thank you.
