I made an online purchase a week or so ago of all the possible

Customer Question

I made an online purchase a week or so ago of all the possible powerball combinations. The files arrived as many notepad doctuments. I took and pasted them all to Excel to analyze them. I did hours upon hours of meticulous work on this file. Then when I went to close all the files I had open I saved them all to the desktop. When I did this my Excel file reverted back to a notepad file. I have tried system restore and it didn't bring back the old file. Is there any way to restore this excel file?
