no. The installation terminates normally but when I start one of the programs, the configuration begins

For background...did uninstall and reinstall, did manual uninstal per Microsoft web site, did a microsoft fix-it app deletion. no success

As what I found, seemed that is duo to permission problem that freeze configuration

click Start, then click Run, then type

Regedit

press Enter

then find the key HKLM/Software/Classes/.msg

Qin Xia :

right click it and select permission

Qin Xia :

and click on the "Advanced" button.


Then select the "Owner" tab, and set the owner as "Adminstrators". Click Apply and OK.
