Resolved Question:

when pasting, what do the different paste options mean, such as values, paste, transpose

Hi,

"Values" pastes the fixed result of the formula. It does not paste the formula itself

"Transpose" changes the orientation of the selected text and pastes it in the other orientation (from vertical to horizontal and vice versa)

Hope this is ok. Let me know if you have any questions, and thank you for clicking Accept if you are satisfied with the answer

what is the difference between regular paste and values
Expert:  John D replied 5 years ago.

Regular paste pastes the formula itself (so you will have a formula in the new cell), while paste value pastes only the result of the formula (you will have only a value in the new cell).
