My 2010 Mercury air conditioner goes off sometimes going up

Customer Question

My 2010 Mercury air conditioner goes off sometimes going up a hill.
JA: Have you checked the Freon level?
Customer: No.
JA: What is the model of your '10 Mercury?
Customer: I don't know. What does 'model' mean?
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: No. I'm going to take it to a local mechanic, but I'd like to have some idea from an expert before i take it.
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: Why does the trunk not fasten all the time?

Welcome, I'm Chris (aka Moose) I prefer to work when others don't, I am here around lunch and after dinner till after midnight.

You have a 2010 Mercury, but I need to know the model like Mariner, or Grand Marquis for example?

So far the issue looks to be related to the load on the vehicle or the condenser temp or the high pressure side of the AC system.

When this happens is it a big hill, are you applying a lot of throttle?
