Hello, my name is***** and thanks for your question.

Unfortunately, there are several common issues that can cause this concern. I would need the codes retrieved from the powertrain control module (PCM) and the battery control module(BCM). I can tell you the most common causes listed in the frequency that I see them.

1. Motor electronics pump (MECS) failure. causes overheat of the traction motor cooling system causing the shutdown. Ford had a recall on the pump for certain model years

2. Electronic throttle body failure, internal throttle position sensor correlation fault causing shutdown.

3. High voltage battery pack cooling fan failure. Fans develop high resistance and causes shutdown.
