Taking the car out of gear at that speed or above does not lessen the noise.

Hi. Have you checked or had the wheel bearings checked?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
I haven't yet. That was my next choice. Wouldn't the bearing be noisy at all speeds?
Expert:  EricFromCT replied 10 months ago.

Sometimes bearings can come in at 30 or 40 mph. If you take the car out of gear and still hear the noise it is likely a bearing or a tire. But I see you already moved them around. If AWD you could run it off the ground and listen. Or FWD then jack it up and spin the rear tire by hand and see if you can feel any roughness to the bearing.

I picked up a rear hub in anticipation of that diagnosis. I won't get it off the ground till Saturday....I know it's the right rear... I'll try and wiggle the tire and listen/feel for movement...thanks for getting back.
