I have a 05 mercury mountaineer with TPMS how do I remove

Customer Question

I have a 05 mercury mountaineer with TPMS how do I remove the tire. I removed the lug nuts what else do I have to remove so the wheel will come off.

Once all of the lug nuts are off, there is nothing holding the tire/rim in place. Most commonly, it's just stuck on there due to time/build-up/weather/etc. With the lug nuts removed and the wheel off the ground, use a solid, rubber mallet/hammer (or equivalent) and tap the rim/tire from behind. Turn the rim 1/4 turn and tap again. Repeat until the rim pops free.
