The key won't turn back to the off position in my 1991

Customer Question

The key won't turn back to the off position in my 1991 Mercury Grand Marquis. Seems to be the ignition cylinder. How do I replace it? Do I need a steering wheel puller?

Take the plastic trim off the column that surrounds the lock. Then turn the key to run. Under the lock you will see a 1/8 diameter hole. Stick a pin in that hole and then you can just pull the lock right out.
