Step one is to get the codes. To do this you need to have a scan tool hooked up under the driver side of the dash. Most parts stores do this for free. These codes will tell you what is wrong and where to begin diagnostics or what to replace. Odds are you are going to get TAC codes which indicate you need to replace the electronic throttle body.
